A four bedroom holiday home with views over Cardigan Bay, Ty-Mari is a beautiful property on the outskirts of Harlech, situated on the west coast of North Wales. Located on a quiet street, this beautiful stone property is set into the hillside with unobscured views out across Bae Ceredigion and the Llyn Peninsula.
Steps lead down through a landscaped front garden into the hallway of the property. To the left sits a large open plan kitchen, diner and lounge area. The spacious modern and sleek kitchen features ample counter space finished in a marble effect and cream coloured kitchen units. Two eye level ovens and a microwave are fitted into the units, along with plenty of storage space. An island counter separates the kitchen and dining area, perfect for socialising. A tiled stone floor features throughout the space. The large dining area includes a heavy dark wood dining table with dining chairs and bench seating, accommodating up to six people comfortably. Two cream leather sofas complete the space along with a sideboard and large flat screen TV on the wall. The clean and simple layout provides an air of light and space.
The ground floor also includes a large lounge area on the opposite side of the hallway, with a light wood effect floor and a modern contemporary feel. Two large navy leather sofas, a side chair and pouffe stool provide plenty of seating space for a large family or group. A log burner set in the fireplace provides a warm and cosy feel, and the décor in light shades of blue alongside the artwork within the room provides a nod to the coastal setting of the property. French doors from both ground floor rooms lead out to a patio, providing breath taking views over the coastline. The ground floor layout is completed by a downstairs WC and laundry room, perfect for longer stays.
Upstairs in this four bedroom holiday home with views over Cardigan Bay, the first floor has three generously sizes double bedrooms including a master suite with en suite. The master bedroom is beautifully decorated with wood effect flooring and large built in wardrobes. A chunky wooden bedframe with surround storage allows plenty of storage space for a longer stay. The modern en suite features a large walk in shower cubicle with rain forest head, a modern sink vanity unit with storage under and a WC. The other two double bedrooms are also spacious, one being modern with contemporary furniture and the other a more traditional style with a pine bed and wardrobes. A family bathroom completes the first floor layout.
The second floor of the property provides an additional two rooms. Built into the loft space with sloping ceilings, there is an additional large twin bedroom and a play room with large bean bags and a flat screen TV, perfect to hook up a games console. This floor is ideal for teenagers who want their own sense of space.
Set into the hillside on a quiet residential street of detached properties, the four bedroom holiday home with views over Cardigan Bay has an elevated setting with unobscured coastal views. At road level, there is an off road parking space and a private landscaped garden to the front, with a gravelled bench seating area. To the rear, there is a large decked patio area that can be accessed from the dining room and lounge area, with a further garden area beyond. The views from the rear of the property are magnificent. The elevated setting provides panoramic views over Cardigan Bay and the Llyn Peninsula, with the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) to the right. The sand dunes stretch out below the below the property, leading to Harlech Beach - one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in North Wales.
The centre of Harlech town is only a short fifteen minute walk, where you'll find a number of gorgeous independent shops, cafes and bistros. Pretty courtyards and old stone buildings house beautiful craft shops and quirky cafes. Wander down Ffordd Pen Lech, the second steepest street in world with a gradient of 37.45%, but remember you'll need to climb back up. Harlech's main landmark is the imposing Harlech Castle, a thirteenth century fortress built by England's King Edward I which stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking the surrounding landscape.
Harlech is a great base to explore the coastline of Bae Ceredigion, with the seaside town of Barmouth a twenty minute drive south and the Italianate village of Portmeirion only a short drive north.
