Surrounded by rolling fields and mature woodland Boethuog is an enchanting character cottage in the heart of South Eryri. From the outside this charming stone cottage looks straight out of a fairytale, but step inside and period character meets 21st century luxury with stylish decor, underfloor heating and rainfall showers blending beautifully with curving walls, exposed beams, cottage style doors and deep window sills. The cottage sleeps up to eight guests in three bedrooms, with a clever layout making the most of the space to provide a generous living room, kitchen-diner, useful utility and two luxurious bathrooms. On the ground floor the hallway opens onto a beautiful, country style kitchen diner, well equipped with a multi slice Dualit toaster, perfect for family breakfasts, an electric oven and an induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and a large fridge. There is a separate freezer is in the utility room.

Next to the kitchen, the living room features a huge inglenook fireplace with a log burner, an L-shaped sofa and armchairs, along with a smart TV and a small selection of books. This gorgeous room provides a cosy place to relax after a day of exploring. At the rear of the property a useful utility with a sink and washing machine makes the ideal space for dogs to spend the night, with underfloor heating to keep them toasty on even the chilliest of evenings.

Also on the ground floor is a spacious double bedroom with a king sized bed and generous en-suite ‘Jack & Jill’ shower room which also works as the downstairs wc with a separate door off the utility room.

Upstairs are two further bedrooms and a family bathroom; the double is a lovely dual aspect room with a king sized bed, chest of drawers and hanging rail, the second bedroom has three full size 3’ single beds, plus a trundle bed which can be pulled out when required, and ample storage with a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and shelving built into an alcove.

The luxurious bathroom has a large walk-in shower with rainfall shower head, a double washbasin and a freestanding bath placed by the window which lends itself to long, indulgent baths while enjoying the countryside views. This enchanting character cottage in the heart of South Eryri is set in a lawned garden, surrounded by fields and woodland. The open sided pole barn with tree trunk stools provides an undercover area for watching the night sky, enjoying a glass of wine or toasting marshmallows.

The rural setting of this enchanting character cottage in the heart of South Eryri will appeal to outdoors enthusiasts who can take advantage of the stunning surrounding countryside and spend many happy hours exploring the local area.

Southern Snowdonia is a breathtakingly beautiful region whatever the season, with rugged mountains, lakes and woodlands which offer a wide range of outdoor activities from climbing, coasteering and mountain biking to more leisurely options such as walking, bird-watching and fishing.

Boethuog is located just 20 minutes from Coed y Brenin Forest Park, a haven for mountain biking and hiking enthusiasts which also has family friendly trails catering to a variety of ability levels. The Mawddach Trail, a 9 mile route along the disused railway line between Dolgellau and Barmouth, offers a traffic-free walking or cycling trail with stunning views of the Mawddach Estuary and mountains beyond. For something a little more challenging, experienced hikers venture to Cadair Idris, the distinctly shaped mountain whose peaks can be seen for miles around.

The pretty market town of Dolgellau, with more listed buildings than any other Welsh town, is just a ten minute drive away, take a stroll through its charming streets lined with shops, cafes, and historic buildings, or try the coastal town of Barmouth, 30 minutes away, with its vast sandy beach, amusements, and numerous pubs and cafes. History lovers can visit Cymer Abbey, a ruined Cistercian abbey just outside Dolgellau, or head underground at King Arthur's Labyrinth, a family-friendly attraction where you can learn about Welsh mythology and enjoy an exciting boat ride through the Labyrinth.
